The Odessa Classics Festival of Classical Music, a leading cultural event in the field of classical music, was hosted in Thessaloniki, from 9 to 13 June 2022, and was organized by the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki.
In the opening concert, the Thessaloniki State Orchestra, under the direction of its artistic director Zoi Tsokanou, collaborated with the legendary baritone Thomas Hampson in an opera gala, while Alexey Botvinov, pianist and artistic director of Odessa Classics, presented Mozart's Concerto No. 21.
Thomas Hampson is one of the greatest living artists, awarded among others a Grammy, 5 Edison Awards and the Grand Prix du Disque, and his recordings include more than 150 titles.
Alexey Botvinov holds the title of "Artist of the People of Ukraine", having an international career with performances in the world's largest concert halls.
