Zoi Tsokanou will conduct two special concerts on November 29 in Basel and November 30, 2024 in Zurich, honoring Klaus Huber on his 100th birthday. The program, presented by the Collegium Novum Zürich and Basler Madrigalisten, features Huber's rarely performed Cantiones de Circulo gyrante (1985), a spatial composition using texts by Hildegard von Bingen and Heinrich Böll.
The concert also includes works by Huber's former students, Kaija Saariaho’s Écho! (2007) for voices and electronics, and Younghi Pagh-Paan’s SOWON/Wunsch (1996) for soprano and instruments, both exploring unique spatial soundscapes.
